THE Centering Prayer Mission Group (Contemplative Outreach Philippines) will hold an activity with main focus of prayer tomorrow, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., at the audio-visual room of St. Theresa’s College on Gen. Maxilom Avenue, Cebu City.
The activity is dubbed as “Developing our relationship with God in silence and His Word: Introduction to Centering Prayer and Lectio Divina.”
Listening to the Word of God in Scripture (Lectio Divina) is a way of cultivating friendship with Christ. The daily encounter with Christ and reflection on His Word leads to an attitude of friendship, trust and love.
Centering prayer is a method of silent prayer that prepares one to receive the gift of contemplative prayer. This method of prayer is designed to foster a closer relationship with God.
Participants are requested to bring their own food provision for lunch and snacks.
For further information, they may call Baby Dumdum at (0932) 6085375 or Sr. Teresita Reyes, ICM, at 2536351 or 2536337 local 127. The Centering Prayer Mission group also accepts donations for their cause.
