Outsourcing firms from Manila eyed to fill eBloc 3 building
OFFICIALS of the Ayala Land Inc. are confident of getting locators to occupy their newly topped eBloc Tower 3 once it will be completed by the second quarter of next year.
“We are now talking to several companies. We are confident that by the time the building is complete, we will already have locators to occupy the building,” said Carol T. Mills, Ayala Land Offices head yesterday.
Mills was referring to negotiations with major outsourcing companies in Manila, which are planning on expanding their operations in Cebu.
Cebu’s talent pool and metropolitan lifestyle is the key “pull” for these companies to come and setup office here, said Tony T. Aquino, Ayala Land, Inc. president and chairman of Cebu Holdings, Inc. in an interview yesterday.
Aquino flew in from Manila yesterday for the topping off of eBloc Tower 3 and the groundbreaking of the fourth tower at the Cebu IT Park.
Launched in February last year, the 12-story eBloc3 at the Cebu IT Park is to be completed by the second quarter next year.

Aquino also said that their presence here is a show of confidence that Cebu and Bohol can move forward from what happened.
Aside from the topping off of eBloc 3, Ayala officials also broke ground for the eBloc 4.
For the fourth tower, Mills said they are investing P800 million which will add approximately 15,845 sqm of leasable space in a 12-story structure that is targeted to be completed by 2015.
Aquino said that in the past three years, they have already poured in P15 billion in investment, an average of P5 billion every year, in their two properties – Cebu Business Park and Cebu IT Park.
“We expect to invest another P15 billion in the next three years for more projects within our properties,” Aquino said. /Reporter Aileen Garcia-Yap
