DTI assures of enough food, stable prices despite quake
THE Department of Trade and Industry Cebu provincial office assures the consuming public that there is an adequate supply of basic goods and prices of commodities are within the DTI’s suggested retail prices.
DTI Cebu provincial director Nelia Navarro said they monitored establishments and wet markets in Cebu immediately after a 7.2 magnitude earthquake hit the province last Tuesday and ascertained that food supply was sufficient and prices remained stable.
The 11 price monitoring teams of DTI-Cebu were able to visit 23 establishments and a wet market in Cebu City, 12 establishments and a wet market in Mandaue City, 11 establishments and a wet market in Lapu-Lapu City, 6 establishments and a wet market in Minglanilla and four establishments in Consolacion town and Danao City in northern Cebu.
