Makati schedules road closures for installation of Christmas decorations
MANILA, Philippines – Motorists are advised to take alternate routes as a portion of Ayala Avenue in Makati City are set to be closed down to motorists to make way for the installation of Christmas decorations from EDSA to Sen. Gil Puyat Avenue.
In a twitter post, the Makati City Traffic department (@MakatiTraffic) said the following roads will be closed down from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. of the following dates:
18 – 19 October (Fri, Sat) – Ayala Avenue westbound, from Makati Avenue to Paseo de Roxas;
20 – 22 October (Sun, Mon, Tue) – Ayala Avenue eastbound, from Paseo de Roxas to Makati Avenue;
23 October (Wed) – Ayala Avenue westbound, from East Street to Parkway Drive;
24 October (Thu) – Ayala Avenue westbound, from Parkway Drive to Makati Avenue;

27 October (Sun) – Ayala Avenue westbound, from Paseo de Roxas to V.A. Rufino Street;
28 October (Mon) – Ayala Avenue westbound, from V.A. Rufino St. to H.V. Dela Costa St.;
29 October (Tues) – Ayala Avenue eastbound, from V.A. Rufino St. to Paseo de Roxas;
30 October (Wed) – Ayala Avenue eastbound, H.V. Dela Costa St. to V.A. Rufino St.
“Counter flow lanes (2 inner lanes) will be provided for the affected traffic flow to accommodate vehicles that will pass through. It is advised to take alternate routes to avoid any inconvenience,” the post said.
