MANILA, Philippines—Two alleged drug traders were arrested and over P100,000 worth of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride or “shabu” were confiscated following a drug sting in Pasig City, a Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency said Thursday.

Suspected pushers Danny Mangaduwal, 28, and Sarah Ulama, 40, were arrested in Barangay (village) Pinagbuhatan in Pasig City on Tuesday after a transaction with a poseur buyer, PDEA Director General Undersecretary Arturo Cacdac Jr. said in a belated report.

When arrested, Mangaduwal and Ulama yielded about 50 grams of shabu with a street value of P150,000.

The two P500 bills used as marked money were also recovered, Cacdac said.

Pieces of evidence gathered were brought to PDEA National Headquarters Laboratory Service for forensic examination.

The suspects are currently detained at PDEA RO4A jail facility and facing cases for violation for Section 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs) in relation to Section 26 (Attempt or Conspiracy of Selling Dangerous Drugs), Article II of RA 9165, or The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
