Two men were killed while another one was wounded in separate shooting incidents in a span of two hours yesterday in Cebu City.
Giovanne Canillo, 30, was carrying his one-year-old daughter when he was fatally shot by an unidentified assailant in front of his house in barangay Duljo-Fatima, Cebu City past 1 p.m.
Canillo succumbed to gunshot wounds in the head, chest and back.
His daughter was unharmed except for minor injuries she sustained when she fell to the ground.
Canillo’s live-in partner, Jonarlyn Gonzaga, 23, said she was doing the laundry when she heard a burst of gunfire outside.
She went out to check and saw Canillo sprawled on the ground.
Also yesterday, a 22-year-old man was shot dead while his companion was injured after they were shot by motorcycle-riding assailants while they were sitting by the roadside in barangay Kalunasan.
Killed on the spot was Jelemar Bergantin, who suffered gunshot wounds in different parts of the body.
Enriquez Solis, 24, sustained three gunshot wounds and is still recuperating in a hospital. /CORRESPONDENT CHITO O. ARAGON
