MANILA, Philippines – One of the suspects in the killing of actor Dolphy Quizon’s grandson has been arrested, Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) Police Director Samuel Pagdilao Jr. said Wednesday.

The suspect was identified as Mark Kevin Lapuz, alias Macmac, 25, a resident of Block 9, lot 5, Thaddeus street, San Pedro 7, San Bartolome, Novaliches, Quezon City, said Pagdilao.

Lapuz has been in hiding for eight years before he was caught by CIDG Detective and Special Operations Division (DSOD) in his hideout at Door 112, Del Nacia Drive, Barangay (village) Talipapa, Novaliches, Quezon City around 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Pagdilao said.

Police said that Lapuz was one of the suspects in the killing of Jerome Carlo Quizon in La Loma, Quezon City on Dec. 18, 2004.

Quizon was 17 years old at that time and had just attended the Misa de Gallo at the Lourdes Church in La Loma, along with other friends, when the suspect and four others arrived on board a tricycle and shot the victim, Pagdilao said.
