Lao Airlines jet crashes into Mekong River
BANGKOK — A Lao Airlines plane from Vientiane plunged into Mekong River in Laos’ Champasak province on Wednesday, Spring News TV reported.
There were 44 passengers and crew members in the flight.
The Agence France-Presse, citing the Thai foreign ministry, reported that at least five people were killed.
The crash took place in Ponethong district of Champasak which is opposite Pakse district. With a report from AFP
