Who are Team Visayas’ taekwondo bets?

CHA YNAH LABISTE of Guadalupe Elementary School-Cebu and Mary Jocelyn Syllanto of the Don Vicente Rama Memorial Elementary School– Cebu will banner Team Visayas’ campaign in the elementary girls division in taekwondo in the coming 5th Milo Little Olympics National Finals at the SHS-Ateneo de Cebu.

The two will be joined by fellow Cebuanos Patrick Keith Nacorda of Don Vicente Rama Memorial Elementary School – Cebu and Dineson Wilfred Cañeda of St. Thomas Aquinas School-Montessori, who will be competing in the elementary boys division.

Completing Team Visayas’ elementary girls division are Shaira Isabel Garbanzos of La Consolacion School – Gardenville – Negros Occidental, Camille Andrea Miraflores of the University of St. La Salle – Bacolod City, and Nicole Frances Remegio and Maria Cyrillenne Odi both of the Delegate Angle Salazar Jr. MS – Antique.

The other members of the boys division, on the other hand, are Adrian Philip Amihan of Educ. Training Center School 1 – Bacolod, Francisco Enteirro of Asuncion Lizares Elem School – Negros Occidental, Jan Kenneth Rafols of Delegate Angel Salazar Jr. Memorial School – Antique and Leo Dominic Zaragosa of Sta. Rita Academy – Antique.

Meanwhile, the weigh-in and height-in of the event will be held at the Sarrosa International Hotel at 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Oct. 25 followed by the drawing of lots and making of a fight diagram while Game day will start on the 26th.

Raul Luna, tournament manager for taekwondo, informed Cebu Daily News that the tournament will follow the Palarong Pambansa format, which is an individual event. /Correspondent Jade S. Violeta
