Del Mars remove faces from buses

/ 08:04 AM August 31, 2011

Brown plaster has been used to cover the images of north district Rep. Rachel “Cutie” del Mar of Cebu City’s north district and that of her father and predecessor, Raul,  painted on buses that they earlier distributed to 46 barangays in their district.

Rep. Del Mar said the move was in compliance with President Benigno Aquino III’s memorandum for the removal of politicians’ faces and names on government projects and vehicles.

“I just wanted to make sure that I do my part to follow the President’s directive,” she said.
