Aquino arrives at NDRRMC

MANILA, Philippines — President Benigno Aquino III has arrived in the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) for an executive briefing on the Bohol Earthquake.

With Aquino are Interior Secretary Manuel Roxas II, Defense Secretary Voltaire Gazmin, Social Welfare Secretary Corazon Soliman, NDRRMC Executive Director Eduardo Del Rosario, and officers from other agencies such as the Philippine National Police, Armed Forces of the Philippines, Bureau of Fire Protection, and the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs).

At least 20 people were reported killed from the magnitude 7.2 quake with many more injured in Bohol and nearby Cebu city.
