MAN CUTS own SEX ORGAN
A disturbed 46-year-old carpenter cut off his sex organ with a blade Sunday morning in barangay Tabok, Mandaue City.
His wife asked Mandaue city officials for help to buy medicine.
Fred (not his real name) was treated at the Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center and sent home.
Fred told Cebu Daily News that he mutilated himself because he wanted to start a “new life” and stop betraying his wife and five childen. Two weeks ago, he cut off his left index finger with a bolo.
One of his daughters told CDN their father suffered a depression last year and missed his family in Leyte but coudn’t visit them for lack of finances.
Last Sunday, he came home with blooded short pants. Neighbors rushed him to the hopsital. Children found the amputated organ, placed it in a plastic bag and brought it to Fred’s house.

3 Kids hurt in mishaps
A 5-year-old boy was injured after he was hit by a van past 2 p.m. Sunday in barangay Panalipan, Catmon town, north Cebu.
Johniel Morsua suddenly crossed the street to reach his mother but was hit by a passing vehicle driven by Mon Mark Bering Berdin.
Berdin assured the boy’s family that he would pay for the hospital expenses.
At 6 p.m. on the same day, a passenger jeepney hit the railing of the highway in barangay Catmondaan, also in Catmon.
Police said that driver Sergio Mata Berot Jr. tried to avoid another jeepney that suddenly crossed the highway intersection.
