MANILA, Philippines—Some flights going to and from Visayas were cancelled Tuesday after a 7.2-magnitude earthquake hit the province of Bohol and parts of Visayas and Mindanao on the same day.
Cebu Pacific Air released an advisory suspending all flights to and from Tagbilaran and Cebu “for the meantime due to the strong earthquake.”
Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) spokesperson Deputy Director General John Andrews said in an interview with Radyo Inquirer 990 AM that a part of the ceiling of Tagbilaran Airport in Bohol collapsed.
But Andrews said all other airports in Visayas and Mindanao will stay open.
He added that no damages were reported in the Mactan International Airport in Cebu City.
Other airports in Visayas are in Iloilo, Kalibo, Bacolod, Roxas, Caticlan and Antique.
