CV taekwondo team names replacements

Team Visayas has already chosen its replacements for the two jins who won’t be able to join the coming 5th Milo Little Olympics National Finals due to conflict of schedule.

Southwestern University (SWU) taekwondo coach and 5th Milo Little Olympics National Finals taekwondo tournament manager Raul Luna revealed to Cebu Daily News the two jins who will be replacing secondary boys’ bet Deb Matthew Daclan of Livingstone International School and secondary girls’ Irene Therese Bermejo of Trinity Christian School, who will not be able to compete for Team Visayas in the coming three-day multi-sporting event since they will soon be leaving for Korea to train as part of the national taekwondo junior team in preparation for the country’s coming campaign in the World Championships in Indonesia.

According to Luna, Team Visayas has enlisted the services of Antique National High School’s John Michael Vedeja and University of Cebu’s Jinielka Hansnella Albero to fill in the vacated positions of Daclan and Bermejo.

Vedeja will be joining secondary boys teammates Jan Mickael Casana of St. Joseph School-La Salle, Kylle John Flores of Southwestern University, West Negros University’s Jason Lenard Locsin and Dennis Andrew Tallafer, Bacolod City NHS’ Jasper Jack Saga, University of Cebu’s Kristian Ralph Tagarao and Ateneo de Iloilo’s Lovett Shauden Uy De Ong.

Albero, for her part, will be joined in the secondary girls team by Andre Lim and Zozen Prajes, also both of the University of Cebu, Arielle Legaspi of Negros Oriental High School in Dumaguete City, Stephanie Marie Lamayo of St. John’s Institute, Rhea Mae dela Cruz of Notre Dame Talisay, Noelyn Rose Campos of Antique NHS and Trinity Christian School’s Jullienne Bermejo.

Meanwhile, Team Luzon’s lineup, which Luna describes as one of the darkhorses in the tourney, is composed of secondary boys jins Christian Mark O. Duntugan of St. Louis University Laboratory High School, University of Baguio Prep.’s Troy Nathaniel R. Cayago, Monsour Carlo H. Salazar, Tristan Dale R. Cayago, Kendrix Klyndale C. Galian, Rencer Shane P. Lavestre, Ican Balinong and Alan C. Elegado and John Christian L. Mapalo of the Baguio City National High School Main.

Luzon’s bets in the secondary girls division are University of Baguio Prep. High School’s Angelica Joyce G. Gaw, Leslie Marie A. Agyamoc, Phoebie Kate M. De Guzman, Ma. Kaye Shannelle D. Romuar, Brighty Rio Marie H. Salazar, Arnold M. Oglayon, Mary Ceniza R. Quiambao of the University of Baguio Science High School, Colleen S. Heria of St. Louie University of Laboratory High School and Tricia Mae T. Buscagan of Baguio City National High School-Main.
