Signal No. 3 up in 15 Luzon areas, No. 2 in Metro, 11 others–Pagasa
MANILA, Philippines – Signal No. 3 is up in at least 15 areas in Luzon while Metro Manila and 11 others are under Signal No. 2 as typhoon “Santi” (international codename: Nari) barrelled towards the region, the state-run weather bureau said Friday.

The typhoon is expected to make landfall early Saturday, between 12 midnight to 2 a.m. in Aurora, Alvin Pura of the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration told INQUIRER.net.
It will cross the provinces of Isabela, Quirino, Nueva Ecija, Nueva Vizcaya, Ifugao, Benguet, Pangasinan and La Union.

Possible storm surges of up to four meters were expected over the coast of Aurora, Isabela, Cagayan and Ilcos provinces.
Pagasa also warned of risky sea and air travel over Luzon on Friday and Saturday.
A tropical cylone is also forecast to enter the eastern part of the PAR by Monday. Its international name is Wipha and would be locally named “Tino” once it enters PAR.
The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) also went on red alert on Friday in preparation of possible disastrous effects of Santi.
