Estrada orders relief of 10 police precinct chiefs in Manila

MANILA, Philippines—Manila Mayor Joseph Estrada ordered the relief of 10 Police Community Precinct commanders of the Manila Police District due to rampant illegal gambling activities in their areas of responsibility.

In a memorandum dated October 9 from the Office of the Mayor to MPD chief, Police Chief Superintendent Isagani Genabe Jr., Estrada ordered the implementation of Philippine National Police’s “one strike and no take policy.”

This, Estrada said, is in “connection with reported illegal gambling activities in the areas of responsibility of police stations 1,2,3,6,10 and 11.”

The 10 precinct chiefs are:

1. Police Chief Inspector Magno Gallaro of Don Bosco PCP

2. Police Inspector Edward Samonte of Gagalangin PCP

3. Police Rexon Layug of Delpan PCP

4. Police Chief Inspector Jhonny Gaspar of Asuncion PCP

5. Police Senior Inspector Robinson Maranon of Barbosa PCP

6. Police Chief Inspector Efren Pangan of Alvarez PCP

7. Police  Inspector  Santiago of Blumentritt PCP

8. Police Senior Inspector Patrick de Leon of San Andres PCP

9. Police Inspector Leonardo de Guzman of Zamora PCP and

10.Police Chief Inspector Louie Guisic of San Nicolas PCP
