CCPO sends toys to Zamboanga

/ 09:40 AM October 08, 2013

THE Cebu City Police Office (CCPO) sent assorted toys to Zamboanga City Wednesday last week for the children affected by the gun battle between government forces and Moro National Liberation Front rebels.

The toys were collected by the CCPO through its “Laruan ko Alay sa Iyo” toy-raising activity organized by the Police Community Relations (PCR).

Aside from the toys, two sacks of used clothing were also loaded onto the C130 plane of the Philippine Air Force (PAF), which left the Mactan airport at past 11 a.m. on Wednesday.

Chief Insp. Enrique Belciña, PCR chief, thanked the PAF personnel led by Squadron Commander Capt. Eric Pua for facilitating the transport of the donated items. Belciña said CCPO is still accepting donation for the second batch of toys to be transported to Zamboanga. The first batch of toys were collected from the businessmen and different police stations in Cebu City. /CORRESPONDENT CHITO O. ARAGON
