All is set for Cesafi volleyball finals
THE CHAMPIONSHIP games in the girls and women’s divisions of the 2013 Cesafi volleyball tournament has been set after impressive wins by the University of San Carlos (USC) and Southwestern University (SWU) during the semifinals last Thursday night at the Aznar Coliseum.
In the high school division, USC booted out erstwhile champions University of San Jose-Recoletos (USJ-R), 24-26, 25-19, 26-24.
The crucial victory placed USC in the best-of-three championship series opposite SWU.
In the women’s class, SWU remained unbeaten this season as it repulsed the resurgent Cebu Doctors’ University in straight sets, 25-23, 25-16, 25-17.
The two teams will play for the crown starting with Game 1 of the series set for Tuesday next week still at the same venue. /Correspondent Jonas Panerio
