IDOL PROSPECTS Mark “Machete” Bernaldez and Boholano Jessel Mark “Magnifico” Magsayo will return to the ring as they fight in the undercard of the Pinoy Pride XXII: The Revenge this Oct. 26 at the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino.
Both Magsayo and Bernaldez, who are still undefeated, will join the campaign of fellow ALA Boxing gym stablemates Genesis “Azukal” Servania (22-0, 8KOs) and “King”Arthur Villanueva (23-0,13KOs) in the event.
Servania tries to snatch the WBO Intercontinental superbantamweight throne when he faces former WBA super flyweight champion Rafael “El Torito” Concepcion of Panama in the main event.
Villanueva will fight against world-title challenger Jose “Matador” Cabrera (22-3-2,10KOs) from Mexico for the WBO International super flyweight title.
Bernaldez is undefeated in 11 wins and also has seven wins by knockouts. He is one of the stars in ALA Promotions’ boxing series “IDOL”. He will face Khunkiri Wor Wisaruth of Thailand for 10-rounds in the undercard.
Magsayo (3-0, 2KOs), on the other hand, will fight fellow Filipino Hagibis Quinones of General Santos City for four rounds. He recently defeated Ilonggo John Rey Melligen in the undercard of IDOL’s maiden fight card via unanimous decision.
Spearheading the undercard will be the return of Roli “Zuma” Gasca (20-4-1, 5KOs), who will fight Indonesian Lande Olin for 10-rounds.
The rest of the fight card features Richard Barrios of Bais City facing Rocky Incepido of Valencia City, Bukidnon; Elmo Traya of Tabuelan, Cebu going up against another boxer from Valencia City Gabby Siempo; and Japanese Kazuma Ejiri fighting Don Amparado of General Santos City./CORRESPONDENT DALE G.
