Seminarians to give free medical services

/ 06:26 AM October 05, 2013

In line with the upcoming feast of St. Thomas of Villanova, the Order of the Discalced Augustinians (OAD) – Aspirants Community, in collaboration with the Third Order, will hold a free medical consultation on Oct. 8 at 8 a.m. at the OAD gymnasium.

Volunteer doctors headed by Dr. Tabon will accommodate patients from barangay San Jose, in Talamban, Cebu City.

Rev. Fr. Rolando Rafol, OAD, Prior of St. Thomas of Villanova House and Spiritual Director of the OAD Third Order, said services include free electrocardiography (ECG) and medical consultation.

The organizer hopes that this activity builds relationship among the faithful and realizes one of the saint virtues. According to St. Thomas, “Charity is not just giving, rather removing the need of those who receive charity and liberating them from it when possible.”

For inquiries, please contact Fr. Rolando Rafol or Bro. Marcelino Rapayla Jr. at 3446100.
