Vice President Binay greets Muslims

The end of Ramadan is a “time to foster unity and peace,” according to Vice President Jejomar Binay.

In a statement, Binay expressed hope the government would finally forge a peace agreement with the secessionist Moro Islamic Liberation Front to “finally put an end to years of conflict and bloodshed.”

“I am with you in praying for the best interest of our country. I hope this brings us farther down the path toward lasting peace and harmony,” he addressed Filipino Muslims.

“This is the time to reach out to your loved ones with warmth and wishes of blessings… I share with you the joys of the festivities that you will surely be holding with your families, friends and communities,” he said.

“Eid Mubarak to our Muslim brothers and sisters all over the country,” he said.
