THE Romy Faunillan-led RCAF barged into the semifinal round of the 2013 AMBL Basketball Cup after drubbing ESER, 99-86, Wednesday night at the Vicente Sotto Memorial gym in barangay Punta Princesa, Cebu City.

RCAF led 33-30 in the opening period with Alwin Tabasa accounting for 17 of those points spiked by five trifectas. But ESER responded with a 24-22 run in the second to close in at 54-55 at the bend.
RCAF, however, proved unstoppable in the third by unloading a 26-14 bomb for a 13-point advantage which it protected until the final buzzer.
The win gave RCAF the 4th seeding in the semis where it will meet topseed MP Customs. Second seed Team Rama will play 3rd seed Blessel Enterprises of Edgar Camota in the other semis match slated next week.
Alwin Tabasa had a game-high 21 points for RCAF while Epon Nacua and Jun Sumargo added 16 markers each. Melvin Tabura and Eser Saramosing paced ESER with 21 and 19 points, respectively.
