Argawanons launch SK youth camp

THE Kool Adventure Camp (KAC) alumni from the Alliance of Argawanon Young Leaders (AAYL) recently organized the first Balisong Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Youth Camp at Casay-Balisong Elementary School in Balisong, Argao, southern Cebu.

The activity, with the theme “Being a light to the community,” was participated by 51 youths from the different sitios of Balisong.

The program aimed to promote camaraderie among the participants and develop their leadership skills.

The participants underwent lecture, workshop and collaborative games facilitated by AAYL youth volunteers.

“This activity inspires us to reach out and give back to the community,” participant Crystal Jane Rotollos said.

The program was in collaboration with the Sangguniang Kabataan of Balisong, Ayala Young Leaders Alumni Association-Cebu Chapter (AYLAA Bai), Play for Peace Cebu and Facilitator’s Circle.

AAYL is a coalition of young leaders from different youth organizations in Argao which aims to bring out the best of the Argawanon youth.

The group also underwent a leadership training with the Ramon Aboitiz Foundation’s KAC last May 27-29 in Balamban, Cebu.
