Game today:

THEY STARTED strong but unlike in Game 1, the Meralco Bolts didn’t crumble in the endgame as they hammered out a 73-69 win over the San Mig Coffee Mixers in Game 2 of their best-of-five quarterfinal series in the 38th PBA Governors’ Cup last night at the Araneta Coliseum.
The Bolts took off to a rampaging 19-8 start and quelled the Mixers’ repeated rallies in the endgame to tie the series at one-all, reducing the series into a best-of-three affair.
Mario West bounced back from a measly nine-point production in their 73-83 Game 1 loss by scoring a game-high 17 points although it took him 35 attempts from the floor to score that much.
Reynel Hugnatan added 15 points, Cliff Hodge and Sunday Salvacion each had 12, while Jared Dillinger played what was by far his best game as a Bolt with 10 markers.
Marqus Blakely topped the Mixers with 24 points, while James Yap and Yancy De Ocampo contributed 13 and 10, respectively. /EDITORIAL ASSISTANT CALVIN D. CORDOVA
