AROUND 8,000 Carolinians are expected to take part in the USC-Physical Education Run on Oct. 6 starting and ending at the University of San Carlos (USC)-Talamban campus.
According to Education Department chairman Marlon Bojos, the organizing group decided to venture into running to promote recreation and wellness to their students.
The event will feature three-kilometer and 5k distances.
The running event also serves as an activity for students who are enrolled in USC’s P.E. classes this semester. Most of the participants will be first year and second year college students.
The race director for the event will be Joel Juarez.
The proceeds of the running event will be used for the community outreach programs of USC’s Education Department. /CORRESPONDENT DALE G. ROSAL
