Free LRT rides for seafarers on Friday

MANILA, Philippines—The Light Rail Transit said it is set to host free rides for Filipino seafarers on Friday, September 27, in line with the celebration of the National Maritime Week, its spokesman said Thursday.

In a Twitter post, lawyer Hernando Cabrera, LRTA spokesman, said the free rides in stations of LRT1 and LRT2 will be from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

To avail of the hosted rides, seafarers must present a valid Seaman’s book or PRC ID.
