Farmer found dead
The body of a farmer was found floating in an open well in barangay Sirao, Cebu City early morning yesterday.
Police are still investigating if there was foul play involved in the death of Willan Ensores, 53.
The farmer had a wound in the chest.
Ensores’ younger sister Elisa told police that her brother had no known enemy in the barangay.
The 15-meter deep well was located beside the road.

2 MEN KILLED IN ROAD MISHAP
A motorycle crashed into a parked tricycle on the national highway in barangay Jagobiao, Mandaue City past 10 p.m. Thursday.
Two men riding the motorbike were killed– Jenever Gamay of Consolacion town and an unidentified backrider. The motorbike was headed for Consolacion town.
Police are trying to identify the owner of the parked tricycle and to determine whether he is liable for the accident./CORRESPONDNT NORMAN V. MENDOZA
MAN SHOT BY NEIGHBOR IN LAPU
A 27-YEAR-OLD man was shot and wounded by his neighbor whom he accused of stealing his fighting cocks in barangay Pajo, Lapu-Lapu City.
Manolito Cabalan Jr sustained four gunshot wounds in the back.
Police said Danilo Balani Sr., 52, a gaffer, fled after the attack but later surrendered to Rep. Arturo Radaza of the Lone Congressional District of Lapu-Lapu City.
Police said Cabalan had been accusing Balani and his cohorts as being responsible for the loss of his 18 fighting cocks.
Past 7:15 p.m. last Saturday, the two men crossed paths which led to a heated a argument.
The argument ended with Balani shooting Cabalan, said PO2 Carlos Barluado, homicide investigator of the Lapu-Lapu City Police Office.
Cabalan was rushed to the Lapu-Lapu City Hospital.

TRUCK DRIVER ROBBED IN CARCAR
A TRUCK driver was robbed by three men in barangay Bolinawan, Carcar City, southern Cebu.
Romeo dela Cruz Jr., 34, a native of Iloilo City who lives in Cebu City, said he was inside the truck parked along a road in lower Cambuntan around 6 p.m. last Saturday when three men suddenly boarded the truck.
Dela Cruz said one of the men pointed a gun at him and declared a hold-up. The other two were armed with a knife.
Dela Cruz said one of the men drove the vehicle.
Dela Cruz said while the vehicle was running, he discovered that the robber was using a toy gun.
Dela Cruz said he and one of the robbers grappled for the knife.
During the commotion, the driver stopped the vehicle, giving Dela Cruz the chance to jump out of the truck.
Dela Cruz ran to the police station, while the three robbers fled with a bag containing P610. A bag owned allegedly by one of the robbers was left in the truck.
Found in the bag was a memory card which contained the name and photo of Ronnie Pinero, the man who allegedly pointed a gun at Dela Cruz.
