FIGHT fans in Balamban, Cebu will be treated to six pairs of professional bouts tonight at the Balamban Sports Complex featuring the main event battle between featherweights Jimmy Paypa and Jason Redondo.
Paypa weighed in at 125.5 lbs while Redondo was at 127 lbs during the official weigh-in held yesterday noon at the GAB-Cebu office for this non-title contest.
The 20-year-old Paypa (13W-2L, 4 KOs) registered wins in his last 11 while the 19-year-old Redondo (7W-1L-1D, 6 KOs) has scored back-to-back second round knockout wins since he lost to Eman Labanza by ninth round TKO, primarily due to exhaustion, in a fight held last year in Compostela, Cebu.
Set to provide comic relief will be Jun ‘Flash’ Intor, who will face Nelson Sandal in a four rounder. Both fighters weighed 126.5 lbs.
Two Japanese fighters are also set to see action – Yosuke Miyagawa, who will fight Crispin Parba in a six rounder and Takaomi Naoma, who will trade punches with Jeo santisima for four rounds.
Completing the card are Kim Galon vs. Marlon Talili (6 rounds) and Raul Yu vs Ritchnell Rosales (4 rounds).
