Two minors shot by Comelec employee
TWO minors were injured after a job order employee detailed at Dumanjug town’s Commission on Elections (Comelec) office allegedly shot them last Sunday afternoon.
Hernst King Admarelle Villagonzalo, 14 and Karl Hyginus Quirante, 17 of Barangay Looc, Dumanjug, sustained gunshot wounds in the right thigh and ankle.
Police said suspect Odelon Clavano was drunk and went to D4D Internet Cafe where the two kids were playing computer games.
Quirante told Cebu Daily News that he was shocked to see Clavano brandishing his weapon inside the Internet cafe. Clavano fired several shots towards the floor, injuring the two kids.
On seeing the kids bleed, Clavano brought them to a clinic in Dumanjug but the attending doctor referred them to Barili District Hospital. Quirante had to be brought to Cebu Doctors Hospital in Cebu City since he needed surgery.
Quirante’s mother Jen said Clavano will shoulder all hospital expenses of the kids. Jen and Clavano’s wife, Lorelyn, are co-teachers at Dumanjug Elementary School.
