Robbery death toll now 7

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO—A fish trader who was shot in the head when robbers barged into his house and killed two family members and four others on Friday died in the hospital in Angeles City on Monday, police said.

Nicolas Edejer died at Sacred Heart Medical Center at 3:45 a.m., said Superintendent Ricardo David, San Fernando police chief, citing a report by the victim’s doctor, Keith Vitan.

Edejer was among the seven people shot by robbers who entered his house at L&S Subdivision in Barangay (village) Telabastagan here.

Investigators said the intruders dragged a vault from the second floor and dropped it in the sala when they failed to lift and load it onto Edejer’s black Toyota Hi-Lux pickup truck, which they used to escape. The vehicle was later found along Magalang-Concepcion Road in Barangay San Nicolas Balas in Concepcion town, Tarlac province.

Found dead in the compound were Edejer’s wife Corazon, 47; their son Kenneth Nolan, 19, and nephew Nelson Dominico, 17; maids Teresita Lansangan and one Kaykay; and Benigno Villanueva Ingar Jr., who was providing a home massage service to the family. All of them had bullet wounds in the head.

Police said the Edejers’ 9-year-old son discovered the crime when he arrived home on Friday afternoon. Tonette Orejas and Jun Malig, Inquirer Central Luzon
