MANILA, Philippines – Several flights going to and from Hong Kong were again canceled Monday because of Typhoon Usagi.
The Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) said on Twitter that three Cathay Pacific and six Philippine Airlines flights at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) were canceled Monday morning “due to weather condition here and at country of origin/destination.”
The canceled flights include:
Cathay Pacific (Terminal 1): CX904 MNL-HKG; CX912 MNL-HKG; CX901 HKG-MNL
Philippine Airlines (Terminal 2): PR300/301 MNL-HKG-MNL; PR318/319 MNL-HKG-MNL; PR312/313 MNL-HKG-MNL
Meanwhile, Tigerair Philippines announced the cancellation of their DG 7924/7925 flights from Clark to Hong Kong and back.
On Sunday, at least 30 international flights at NAIA were suspended as typhoon Usagi threatened Hong Kong, Macau and parts of mainland China.
As of Monday morning, at least 25 people were killed as the typhoon, which Chinese state media said was the most powerful storm this year, pummelled the southern part of their country.
