MANILA, Philippines – The number coding scheme in Metro Manila was lifted Monday amid the inclement weather, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority said.
Vincent Lizada of MMDA-Metrobase said the lifting of the coding rule includes the city of Pasay.
As to Makati City, Lizada said they have yet to contact concerned authorities for their decision.
“MMDA Chairman Francis Tolentino ordered the suspension of the number coding rule due to bad weather,” Lizada said.
If the number rule wasn’t lifted, vehicles with license plates ending in 1 and 2 would not be allowed in major thoroughfares of Metro Manila.
