Yellow rainfall warning up in Metro Manila, nearby provinces

MANILA, Philippines – The state weather bureau issued a yellow rainfall alert Sunday morning as moderate to occasional heavy rains continue to affect Metro Manila and nearby provinces.

The Philippines Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said Metro Manila, Cavite, Batangas, Bulacan, Pampanga, Bataan and Zambales will experience moderate to occasional heavy rains for the next couple of hours because of the southwest monsoon (habagat)

A ‘yellow’ signal is raised when rainfall amount is 7.5 to 15 mm within an hour. Heavy rainfall is expected to continue with possible flooding in low-lying areas.
