Police nab most wanted criminal in Quezon

MANILA, Philippines – A 37-year old tricycle driver, tagged as one of Quezon province’s most wanted criminal, was arrested by joint forces of the Provincial Intelligence Branch (PIB) and Quezon Provincial Public Safety Company (QPPSC) in Calamba City Thursday morning.

Quezon police said Cornelio Roxas Camacho was arrested at around 2:10 a.m. at his hideout in Belflor Subdivision, Barangay (village) San Cristobal, Calamba City.

Camacho was charged with raping a five-year old child at his residence in Quezon on June 6, 2006. His warrant of arrest was released by Judge Rodolfo Obnamia of the regional trial court Branch 54 in Lucena.

The suspect is now detained at the Quezon Provincial Jail where he will face the charge filed against him.
