Nurse catches thief in hospital
A MAN believed to be behind targeting people in hospitals was arrested after he tried to steal a bag belonging to a nurse at the Perpetual Succour Hospital in Cebu City. The suspect was identified as Jessie Dingding Caballero, 41.
Maria Jojie Bolhano Dumag, 21, a nurse, said she was attending to some patients around 6 p.m. Friday when she allegedly saw the suspect trying to sneak out with her bag that contained P18,000 cash, a cellular phone, a gold class ring and important documents.
The nurse sought help from the hospital’s security personnel who were able to intercept Caballero. Caballero was turned over to the custody of the Cebu City Police Office./CORRESPONDENT CHITO O. ARAGON
Man stabs friend with chisel
A 38-YEAR-OLD man was stabbed by his friend after they engaged in a heated argument while in a drinking session in barangay Tangil, Dumanjug town southern Cebu. around 5:30 p.m. yesterday.
