CITY OF SAN FERNANDO—Six people were killed while another was wounded after robbers broke into the house of a fish trader at L&S Subdivision in Barangay Telebastagan here on Friday, police said.
Senior Supt. Oscar Albayalde, police chief of Pampanga province, said at least three suspects entered the house of fish trader Nicolas Edejer, 42, and shot and killed his wife, Corazon, 47, and their eldest son, Kenneth Nolan, 19; their nephew Nelson Dominico, 17; housemaids Teresita Camiling and one identified only as Kaykay; and Benigno Villanueva Ingar Jr., 52, who was in the family’s house to provide home massage service.
The six fatalities were shot in the head. Nicolas was wounded and was taken to a hospital here.
Albayalde said the suspects took a steel vault from the second floor of one of two houses in the family compound.
Police believed that the vault was filled with cash because Nicolas delivered bangus (milkfish) daily to the Pampang market in Angeles City.
That type of vault needed more than three people to carry, Albayalde said.
He said investigators estimated that the crime was carried out between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. and was reported to the police at past 6 p.m. on Friday. Tonette Orejas and Jun Malig, Inquirer Central Luzon
