Suspected victim of summary execution found in QC
MANILA, Philippines—A man, believed to have been a victim of summary execution, was found in Quezon City before dawn Friday, police said.
In a report, Police Officer 2 Jogene Hernandez of Quezon City Police District-Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit said the body of the still unidentified victim was found along Dioquino Street, 16th Avenue in Cubao, Quezon City around 1:40 a.m.
He said the victim, estimated to be around 25 to 30 years old, was found with multiple punctured wounds in different parts of his body, and his mouth was wrapped with masking tape.
The victim had tattoo marks in different parts of his body, Hernandez said, which might indicate that he had been in and out of jail.
A radio report said a note was also left beside the victim, which read: “Akyat bahay ako, wag pamarisan.”
Eight other names were also written in the note, saying that they would be the next targets, the radio report added.
