A FRENCH national was arrested after the car he was driving hit a jeepney at the first Mandaue-Mactan Bridge in Lapu-Lapu City early morning yesterday.
Joel Robert Wolvre, 62, was brought to the Lapu-Lapu City Police Office, where he cursed at law enforcers and threw a fit.
Police said that when Wolvre was about to be detained, he began slamming tables and chairs at the police station.
Wolvre’s Toyota RAV-4 with plate number PIR-626 hit the rear of a jeepney driven by Nicolas Decatura, 33.
Wolvre, who is temporarily living in barangay Basak, Lapu-Lapu, was brought to the city hospital where he tested positive for alcohol use, said PO2 Romelo Adolfo, traffic investigator of the Lapu-Lapu police.
