With the theme “The Filipino Child and the Culture of Excellence,” this year’s storytelling contest is open to children aged 10-12 who are currently in school and who have never won first place in any storytelling contest.
Those who are interested to join may download the rules, list of requirements and application forms on www.facebook.com/inqreadalong. Forms may be submitted to inqfestival@gmail.com until Sept. 30.
Elimination rounds will be held on Oct. 19, a Saturday, at the Philippine Daily Inquirer office along Pasong Tamo Street in Makati. The semifinals are set on Oct. 26.
Aside from medals and Guyitos, winners will also receive cash prizes: First place, P10,000; second place, P5,000; third place, P2,000.
