CAAP said that starting at 1 a.m. Thursday, two Zamboanga-bound flights of Cebu Pacific and Philippine Airlines will be flying from Manila, Radyo Inquirer 990 AM reported.
However, the Philippine Information Agency–Region 9 (PIA) said aviation authorities were still assessing if Cebu Pacific could be allowed to have two flights on Friday.
Interior secretary Manuel “Mar” Roxas II advised the stranded passengers, including those whose tickets have expired, to contact the airline companies for processing.
Roxas said the processing would be on a first-come, first-served basis.
In observance of strict security measures, Roxas also urged the passengers to bring valid identification cards for faster ticket processing.
Last week, CAAP suspended all commercial flights to and from Zamboanga airport and ferry services to the port of Zamboanga as government troops secured points of entry to prevent the entry of more followers of Misuari.
