Team Rama keeps 2nd spot in AMBL
THE Jingjing Rama-led Team Rama claimed its third win in four game (3-1) after drubbing Blessel Enterprises, 94-81, Friday night to retain its hold of second spot in the standings behind unbeaten league-leader Team Lou Regidor (4-0) in the AMBL Basketball Cup-2013.
Team Rama trailed 15-24 in the opening period, but unloaded a 36-15 run in the second behind former PBA cager Danny Aying and former UV Lancer Toper Abellana for a commanding, 51-39 edge at the half.
Team Rama widened its lead at the end of the third, 71-55 behind another PBA standout Bonel Balingit, a one-time Most Improved Player in the PBA who scored 16 points in the fourth.
Balingit and Aying led Team Rama with a game-high 23 and 19 points, respectively while Abellana and Jingjing Rama combined for 22 markers.
Ralph Bruzon and Frankie Lastimoso paced Blessel which fell to 2-2 with 21 points each.
