One killed in Calapan City road accident
MANILA, Philippines – One person was killed while two others were in critical condition in a road accident in Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro police said Saturday.
Fernando Riofloredo of Sta. Cruz, Calapan City, driver of the motorcycle that collided with an Isuzu truck at around 5:30 p.m. Friday in Bucayao Village was pronounced dead on arrival at the Calapan Medical Center, said Chief Superintendent Leonardo Espina, director of the Highway Patrol Group (HPG).
Catalino de Guzman and Kenneth Zuleta, passengers of the truck with plate number WGR 803, are in critical condition while a third, Celestino Aldovino, is stable, Espina said. The driver was driven by one Reggie Aguarin of Victoria Mindoro.
Initial investigation showed that Riofloredo was drunk while driving towards Managpi village in Calapan.
