More than 200 packs of goods were donated by the Bureau of Customs Cebu District to the fisherfolks in barangay Day-as, Cordova on Thursday.

The packs containing five kilos of rice, canned goods and noodles were received by Day-as barangay captain Rosa Maria Suan at the barangay hall.

Ahmed Erpe, Deputy Collector for Operations Division, led the turnover ceremony.

“We have seen the damage brought by the oil spill on the livelihood of Cordova fisherfolks. That is why we use our own resources to come up with these goods,” Erpe said.
