MANILA, Philippines – President Benigno Aquino III will fly to Zamboanga City on Wednesday amid a standoff between government troops and Moro rebels there, military sources said.
Aquino is expected to land past 7 p.m. at Edwin Andrews Airbase.
He will join Interior Secretary Manuel Roxas, Defense Secretary Voltaire Gazmin and Armed Forces of the Philippines Chief of Staff General Emmanuel Bautista who already flew to Zamboanga City on Monday.
