THE price for being a sleepyhead may prove too costly for this policeman. Police Officer 3 Leonardo So, a member of the Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Task Force (AIDSOTF), might face dismissal from service after an arrested drug peddler escaped from a prison facility in Camp Crame over the weekend. Senior Superintendent Edgar Layon, AIDSOTF deputy chief, on Wednesday said So was on duty when George Manlangit walked out of the AIDSOTF detention cell at around 6 p.m. on Sunday. Manlangit, 33, was arrested by AIDSOTF operatives in an entrapment operation in Pasay City on April 26. Police seized nine plastic sachets containing suspected shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride) from him and his girlfriend Charie Durano.  Layon said the erring police officer had been placed under restrictive custody pending the result of an investigation.—Marlon Ramos
