In a statement, the management of the light rail firm said LRTA 1 had to limit its operations from Baclaran to Central stations at 11:07 a.m. due to a spark at the catenary line between R. Papa and 5th Avenue stations.

Engineering, maintenance and safety teams were immediately dispatched in the area to institute the necessary repairs.

Line 1 full line operations resumed at 1:30 p.m. after a thorough safety and testing check, the statement said.
