Housing project for Cordova indigents breaks ground

AboitizLand demonstrates its commitment to build houses for the indigents in its neighboring communities.

AboitizLand, together with MyVan Properties Inc. and the municipality of Cordova in Mactan Island recently broke ground for 24 dwelling units intended for the beneficiary-families of the local government unit (LGU) of Cordova town.

AboitizLand will construct the single-detached housing units, which are scheduled for turnover by fourth quarter of this year.

Cordova Mayor Adelino Sitoy led the groundbreaking ceremony. He was assisted by Vice Mayor Teche Sitoy-Cho, San Miguel barangay chairman Jaime Andales, AboitizLand Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) assistant manager Corazon Baybay and Ajoya project director Gerry de la Cruz.

Baybay said the San Miguel Housing Project is another addition to AboitizLand’s CSR coverage.

“It is important to us that as we provide a high quality of living to our clients, we also uplift the lives of families in neighbor communities by giving them homes, too,” Baybay said.

AboitizLand has established its presence in Cordova with the development of its Ajoya community in barangay Gabi.
