MANILA, Philippines — Three men were killed while another was injured Sunday afternoon after they were shot by two men allegedly over a drug deal gone wrong in Quezon City.
Superintendent Norberto Babagay, the station commander of the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) Novaliches station, identified the fatalities as Bernardo Apostol; Muhammad Eto Muslim; and an alias “Tony Muslim,” who were instantly killed from multiple bullet wounds in the head and body.
Another victim Emran Panayanam was brought to the Bernardino General Hospital for treatment of gunshot wounds.
The two suspects, one of them identified as Nasser Guadal, fled after the attack on the four victims.
Babagay said that the shooting happened at around 2:30 pm inside the Florentina Compound at the corner of Nenita Street and Interior Masaya, Barangay (village) Gulod in Novaliches.
The Novaliches station commander said that the victims and the suspects were apparently involved in a drug deal when accusations of a double cross triggered a disagreement.
Babagay said that Guadal and his companion drew their handguns, a .45 mm pistol and a .38 revolver, and started shooting at the four men before fleeing.
The Novaliches station commander said that his men have been pursuing the killers.
