‘Salvage’ victim found

The body of a street gang member believed to be a victim of summary execution was found Sunday morning in an open pit in Quezon City.

The man who had yet to be identified was naked, his body stuffed into a garbage bag tightly wrapped shut with packaging tape. There was a sign that he had been strangled although there were also several stab wounds in his chest.

PO2 Rhic Roldan Pittong of the Quezon City Police District’s Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit described the victim as  between 40 and 45 years old, 5’ 3” tall and with several tattoos on his body, including the names “Junjo,” “Lito” and Sigue-Sigue Sputnik gang.

He was found at 9:30 a.m. on Commonwealth Avenue across the Asian Institute of Tourism. Jeannette I. Andrade
