Police arrest man, seize P200,000 worth of ‘shabu’

A man allegedly involved in illegal drug trade was arrested in a buy-bust operation in barangay Mabolo, Cebu City Friday night.

Packs of suspected shabu worth P200,000 were seized from Mark Clint Mabaga alias Barkly, who was arrested in his rented house in a compound on President Roxas Street. The suspected is a  resident of barangay Lorega, Cebu City.


Chief Insp. Romeo Santander, chief of the City Intelligence Branch of the Cebu City police, said they have been monitoring Mabaga for two weeks prior to the entrapment operation against the suspect.

Santander said a poseur-buyer ordered P25,000 worth of  shabu from the suspect.


When the money and drugs changed hands, operatives of the CIB and City Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operation Task Force and City Intelligence Branch (CIB) moved in and arrested the suspect.
